The process of collaboratively manufacturing corrective insoles via plantar laser 3D scanner and ins

2026-04-16

Corrective insoles belong to customized products, which require one-to-one measurement of plantar data and targeted design according to specific individual plantar conditions to achieve corrective effects.

Common corrective insoles include flat foot corrective insoles, high arch corrective insoles, varus foot and valgus foot corrective insoles and so on.

Corrective insoles are unique, which are independently designed and manufactured for individuals. They are relatively expensive in price, but can meet personalized effects and achieve the purpose of targeted correction of foot health.

In accordance with traditional methods, manual measurement adopted in the production of corrective insoles is prone to large data errors and even wrong data. It also consumes a lot of time, and it may take more than ten days or even longer to produce finished products and deliver them to customers for a pair of customized insoles.

However, with the emergence of plantar 3D laser scanners and insole engraving machines, customizing insoles has become very convenient, and finished products can usually be obtained in only a few hours.

The customized process of corrective insoles and personalized insoles through the cooperation of plantar 3D laser scanners and insole engraving machines is as follows:

1. Obtain 3D plantar data, size and other morphological data through the plantar 3D laser scanner.

This is a very crucial step. Only with 3D data can the next work be better carried out, and this step consumes extremely long time in traditional measurement.

Only with accurate data can insoles that truly fit our soles be produced.

The accuracy of 3DOE plantar 3D laser scanner is within 0.5mm, ranking the highest in the current industry.

Users only need to stand on the test area of the scanner for about 20 seconds to obtain complete 3D plantar data and more than 20 groups of key plantar data. It can generate chart-based measurement reports and export 3D data in formats such as STL at the same time.

The measurement report enables users to directly understand their own foot conditions, and STL 3D data can be directly imported into the insole design software.

2. Carry out correction design and personalized design.

After the measurement data is obtained, rehabilitation therapists or doctors will formulate foot problem solutions based on the data to achieve the goal of correcting foot problems.

After completing the solutions, import the STL data into the insole design software to conduct corresponding insole design, so as to meet customers' personalized needs and achieve targeted correction effects simultaneously.

This design process requires high professionalism, as it demands professional knowledge and design experience in podiatry and insole design.

3. Produce insoles by virtue of insole engraving machines.

After the insole design data is completed, import the data into the data processing software of the engraving machine for data processing to make the data meet the production requirements of the engraving machine.

Then import the processed data into the engraving machine for production.

The production process takes about 30 minutes for a pair of adult insoles.

After the insole is engraved, surface pasting and polishing treatment are required to finally complete the finished product.

After the finished products are completed, they will be delivered to customers through logistics and other methods.
