The principle of the plantar scanner is actually very simple
First of all, it should be made clear that the mainstream plantar scanners now generally use laser 3D scanning technology.
In other words, it does not use a camera to take pictures, nor does it rely on manual comparison of foot shapes, but uses laser beams in multiple directions to "model" the contour of the foot with high precision.
When you stand on the scanning platform or put your feet into the device, the laser module of the scanner will start in a very short time, automatically collect the length, width, height, toe spacing, instep curve and other dimensions of the foot, and restore the data into a digital model through the system algorithm.
The whole process usually takes only 3 to 10 seconds to complete the basic data collection.
What is the detection process?
A complete plantar scanning process usually includes the following steps:
Standing guidance
Before use, the staff will guide you to stand in the scanning area to ensure that your feet are naturally relaxed, without deliberately exerting force or straightening.
Laser scanning start
After pressing the button or the system automatically identifies the position of the foot, the laser beam starts working. The whole scanning process is very fast and almost imperceptible.
Data generation and modeling
After scanning, the system will generate a 3D foot model within a few seconds and display it on the terminal screen. This model can be rotated and scaled to facilitate observation of the overall structure of the foot.
Result explanation or export
The test results can be viewed immediately or exported as PDF or image format for subsequent customization of insoles or shoes.
From the time the user enters the scanning area to the time the complete results are obtained, the entire process generally takes no more than 3 minutes. Compared with traditional manual measurement, plaster foot molds and other methods, the efficiency and accuracy of plantar laser scanning are more than one level higher.
What scenarios is it suitable for?
The efficiency and convenience of laser plantar scanning make it widely used in the following fields:
Foot modeling before customization of insoles and shoes
Evaluation and recording of children's foot development
Detection of changes in foot structure of the elderly
Foot morphology data collection by medical rehabilitation institutions
Quick foot measurement services provided by shopping malls and stores
Whether it is commercial or personal experience, plantar laser scanners can provide high-quality data support in a short time, greatly saving waiting and trial and error costs.
