Application of foot 3D scanner in the production of corrective shoes

2025-02-25

The foot 3D scanner is a laser scanning method to measure the entire foot.

The measurement is a non-contact scan, which is harmless to the human body and eyes.

The foot 3D scanner measures more than 60 data, including key information of the foot such as arch, foot length, foot width, footprint area, etc. In addition, it will generate a 3D model of the foot. The generated stl data is the key to making corrective shoes.

The process of using the foot 3D scanner in corrective shoes:

1. Use the foot 3D scanner to measure and collect data. During the data collection process, keep the body still, relaxed, and natural. The whole process generally only takes a few tens of seconds. The accuracy of the scanned data is also very high, generally reaching 0.5mm, which is not comparable to traditional measurement methods.

2. The designer analyzes the measured data to determine whether it is a foot defect such as flat feet, high arches, and inversion. If so, a correction plan needs to be specified to design a corrective shoe plan.

3. Import the 3D data measured by the foot 3D scanner into the shoe design software, adjust the design on the software according to the above shoemaking plan, and finally export the data.

4. Export the data designed on the design software and import it into the 3D printer or other methods to make insoles.

5. Deliver the made customized shoes to the hands of customers through logistics and other means.

6. Make regular return visits to users to see the correction effect and make adjustments based on actual conditions.
